Dear Friends,
I regret to inform you all that I will be suspending my campaign for Portland City Council District 2 effective immediately. I am honored to have met with many of you who expressed your wants, needs, and concerns with me regarding Portland.
As a member of multiple boards and committees, I have realized that I am not dedicating enough time to these commitments while running a campaign and working a full-time job with Portland Public Schools. By suspending my campaign, I will be able to spend more time bettering the board and committees I have committed to helping.
This is not the end of my political involvement. I will not rule out running for office in the future and I will still be attending political and community events in Portland.
I would like to thank all of you, especially those who donated time and money to help us advocate for our platform of reducing the cost of living (partially around introducing a 5% rent camp in portland), fixing the housing crisis, protecting our environment, and increasing eyes of the street for public safety.
As I drop out of this race, I endorse and urge all of my supporters to vote for James Armstrong. As a lifelong Portlander, I believe that James, a Portlander for two decades, and a fellow active member of the North & Northeast Portland community, will be vigilant to the needs of this district.
If anyone wants to reach out to me, you can contact me at (971)-888-9844 or by emailing [email protected].
I am grateful to everyone for the support and hope to continue to work with all of you to make Portland a better place.
